The Future of Virtual Brokerage - aftermath of the NAR/DOJ settlement
What will the future hold for virtual brokerages in the aftermath of
the NAR/DOJ settlement? Some pundits speculate that VOWs are passé,
and the settlement will have little impact.
Elizabeth Sobotka (Larson/Sobotka
Law Firm, Moderator) will conduct a discussion among industry leaders already
anticipating the pending fallout from the settlement. The panelists
will discuss implications of and opportunities arising from the
settlement. Consumer expectations and interactions with brokerages
will become richer; IDX and VOW vendors may face rapid technological
challenges to keep up with the more open environment, and MLSs may
have to take on policing functions beyond their current means.
